The ACSOM Foundation exists to ensure that financial barriers never stand between a brilliant, driven student and a career saving lives. Together, we are building the physicians the world’s underserved communities need most.

Training the Physicians the world needs most.
The ACSOM Foundation is a nonprofit organization formed to support the American Canadian School of Medicine — the Caribbean’s only private non-profit medical school — in its work educating the next generation of physicians to serve underserved communities across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and worldwide.
We believe that medical education should be driven by mission, not margin. By supporting the Foundation, you directly fund scholarships, world-class facilities, academic programs, and international partnerships that would otherwise be out of reach for talented students and partner nations alike. Every gift advances healthcare where it matters most.
Incorporated in Texas. Globally oriented. The ACSOM Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes under IRS Section 501(c)(3). No part of net earnings benefits private individuals. Established June 2025.

Student Scholarships & Financial Aid
Talented students from all backgrounds deserve access to a world-class medical education. Scholarship gifts directly reduce tuition burden, opening ACSOM to candidates who might otherwise choose not to pursue medicine — or choose a for-profit school simply because it felt attainable. Your scholarship gift creates a physician who will spend a career giving back.
Facilities & Equipment
ACSOM’s 33-acre campus includes a Simulation Center and Anatomy Lab built to U.S. teaching hospital standards. Capital gifts support new equipment, technology upgrades, expanded simulation capabilities, and infrastructure that makes clinical training possible from Day One. Named facilities and equipment are available for significant gifts.
Academic Programs & Research
Fund the global health curriculum, visiting faculty programs, community-based medicine rotations, and public health initiatives. Programmatic gifts shape the kind of physicians ACSOM trains ones who understand social determinants of health, global disease burden, and the responsibilities that come with the privilege of practicing medicine. A named lecture series or endowed course is within reach.
Endowment & Legacy Giving
A planned gift to the ACSOM Foundation endowment is a commitment that outlasts you funding scholarships, chairs, and programs in perpetuity. Whether through a bequest, charitable remainder trust, life insurance designation, or endowed chair, legacy gifts ensure that ACSOM’s mission continues for generations of physicians yet to graduate.
